Quick disclaimer though, I don’t know if I’m related to Uncle Don… But!… What I am is passionate about empowering people who are willing to take those steps, but need help in the process, to achieve their peak mental resilience, health, and yes, performance. But! I believe it has to be in that order and you have to have fun doing it. Otherwise, the ladder with suffer without the former and trust me, it sucks!
With a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of diversifying your workouts, proper nutrition, high-quality supplements, and healthy community, I am dedicated to helping others reach their goals the best I can. Understand, I’ve developed my own vein of thoughts and applications unique to me to get there myself. Take some, leave others, or all of both.
Yet know that I know, it doesn’t have to be solely “CrossFit” and that rest days are important and that yoga is good and cold plunges, saunas, and massages are helpful…
Yet, I use CrossFit as a foundational philosophy on an importance level anatomically because mixing things up with muscle confusion and crossing over into other stimuli will help you become absolutely versatile in everyday life. Also, how specific diets are not for everybody’s specific gene make up, body type, blood type, and goals. So, basically, a ton of the foundational beliefs of CrossFit itself.
And these are just some of the reasons why CrossFit has become so dang popular over the years… because people know that they know deep down inside that this is what it takes to be in the best shape of their lives to breath better, move better, think more clearly, and so much more. Just take away the word “CrossFit” and think about all the truths that come with its philosophy. I am positive you would think, “Oh yeah, I believe in those approaches to health…”
That might include sports, dancing, rock climbing, or whatever is necessary to aid in the science behind combatting the one trick pony’s being unhealthy in specific parts of their body. Maybe for you it is a lot of scaling and that’s ok! I want your whole body to be healthy and to last as long as possible for you, your family, your friends, and your community.
And… And… I understand, as my coach, Nate Blohm says, “Sometimes you got to feed the soul,” and that is ok too because part of a healthy lifestyle is making the process enjoyable so that you don’t get burnt out, dread working out, are disgusted with eating healthy, and ultimately hate life…
That, my friends, is no way to live!
But whoops… shoot… you busted me… I confess, it’s true, I am here as another little fish in a massive ocean called health and fitness. And it is true that I am a math teacher, not a professional trainer, nor dietitian, that I only give recommendations and not professional, medical, or health advice because I am not a doctor and nor am responsible or liable for your health and fitness choices and that which ensues and you agree by reading this (and/or the Terms of Service)….

But, it should NOT be overlooked, that in my years of being a socialite, math and history teacher, athlete, a possessor of a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a trained research strategist, a study addict, and most of all, experienced person, that I can tell that this “little fish” might be a little more like a highly underestimated mutated terminator alpha AI fish… one that will bite your fracking head off with analysis, reasoning, and proof and at times pushing back against the assertions of experts with sound research…

I need you to understand that I too have something to contribute to you that others may not possess and I hope you find those diamonds within this rough. Trust me, I will not be offended if you don’t like my site or recommendations or any of it.
